The Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA), also known as Chatham House, is one of the world's leading institutes for the analysis of international issues. Founded in 1920, and based at Chatham House in London, the Institute works to stimulate debate and research on political, business, security and other key issues in the international arena.

Support Chatham House
Due to external support the Institute is crucially able to remain free of all government and political interests. Our funding comes from charitable grants, corporate and other donations, membership subscriptions and revenue from the Institute's wholly owned trading subsidiary Chatham House Enterprises Limited.
