The Bridging Nations Foundation is a nonprofit, policy organization based in Washington D.C. that promotes shared prosperity by focusing on bridging people and nations through technological innovation. Established in 2002 by Dr Prakash Ambegaonkar, the foundation seeks to develop international dialogue through collaboration. The organization is looking for an experienced, seasoned Executive Director as it expands its many policy initiatives, about which you can find more details at both of the foundation's websites: http://bridgingnations.org/ and http://www.cees-edu.org/.
The Executive Director will lead and motivate a team of Program Coordinators and Interns in the D.C. office. A qualified candidate will exhibit entrepreneurial drive and the acute business savvy the organizations needs to continue expanding. All projects, programs and conferences will be created, organized and supervised under the direction of the Executive Director. In addition to managing the DC team, the Executive Director will also collaborate on projects with a team of Program Coordinators in India.
The Executive Director will help assist the CEO in planning a business delegation to India and China in the summer, so the candidate must have a strong background in foreign policy as it relates to India, China and the United States. The candidate's expertise should be in the political, diplomatic and economic relations among these three superpowers.
As the organization is rapidly growing, the Executive Director will lead all fundraising efforts. The Executive Director will find and develop local and global partnerships in the areas of foreign policy, international peace, economic development, education, green energy and sustainability. In this capacity, the Executive Director will also make an aggressive effort to apply for grants and join green energy organizations.
The Executive Director will also act as the voice of Bridging Nations. As such, the Executive Director must have excellent written and verbal skills. He or she must also be an impeccable public speaker that can present information in an engaging fashion.
Qualified candidates will have at least a Master's, but preferably a PhD, in international relations, foreign policy, energy or environment. They will also have several years of proven management experience in an executive position and a strong interest in energy, environmental policy and education.
