The largest network of global affairs blogs online.
The Great Decisions program is the core of FPA's outreach. The annual Great Decisions briefing book outlines the issues, history and policy options of eight key foreign policy topics, providing unbiased current information for its readers. FPA's national network of volunteer coordinators implements the Great Decisions program by setting up discussion groups, seminars and public forums in which participants can meet, discuss the issues, debate the subject, and arrive at an informed opinion on each topic.
FPA reaches high school, college and university students as well as adults throughout the country who want to keep up-to-date on world events. Adults participate in discussion groups at libraries, Y's, World Affairs Councils, chapters of the American Association of University Women, Rotary Clubs, the League of Women Voters, UNA-USA, bookstores, retirement communities and in meetings at people's homes. Increasingly, corporations are valuing Great Decisions in the Workplace as an efficient way to provide international insight to employees facing economic challenges in a changing global marketplace. Finally, in the New York metropolitan area, members and guests of FPA's events series participate in a full range of meetings, luncheons and open forums with world leaders and experts.
