Transitions Online (TOL) — a leading Internet magazine covering Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and the former Soviet Union — is the online successor to Transitions magazine. A Czech nonprofit dedicated to strengthening independent journalism, TOL is based in Prague and uses a network of local correspondents to provide unique, cross-regional analysis.
Amy Wu is based in Hong Kong as a journalist and writer. She has worked as a reporter at TIME Magazine and Institutional Investor, and is now working as a columnist and feature writer at the Hong Kong iMail.
Matt is a PhD student at the University of Limerick researching the European Union. His thesis concentrates on the relationship between transport infrastructure and regional policy in the European Union.
Lindsay Trottier is currently a graduate student at the University of Denver School for International Studies. Her areas of focus include children's rights, refugees, and Africa. In addition, she currently works at the American Red Cross in Denver. Prior to her work at the Red Cross, she studied in Geneva, Switzerland and interned with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Jamie is a student at Columbia University. His main academic interests are diplomatic history and comparative politics. He is the policy director for Columbia's Model UN team and a staff writer for the Columbia Daily Spectator.
Theresa Beltramo has a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California at Santa Cruz and she currently works in television and here at FPA as the editor of Student's Corner and Educator's Corner.
Ryan Sanders earned his B.A. in History, Political Science, and International Studies at Dickinson College, in Carlisle, PA. He got an MA from Syracuse University's Maxwell School for Citizenship and Public Affairs in International Relations. He has spent about 2 years living or working in Italy, France and Belgium.
Cynthia Rothschild is currently living in New York and developing family media literacy workshops for the organization Ariadne's Children. She graduated in May 2000 with a B.A. in Religious Studies from Wesleyan University. Cynthia has lived in China and Jerusalem.
Maura is in the second year of her PhD in Political Science at Trinity College, Dublin (TCD), Ireland. Her thesis is a study of International Terrorism in the context of postmodern political theory. She has a BA in Legal Science and Sociology & Politics from University College Galway (UCG), Ireland and an MA in International Studies from the University of Limerick.
Joel Davis is the Internet Projects Coordinator for the International Studies Association at the University of Arizona. His doctoral studies are focused on international political integration. He has lived in Eritrea, Italy and Great Britain.
