Event Transcripts and Video
Sarwar Kashmeri, author of America and Europe After 9/11 & Iraq: The Great Divide, addresses the Foreign Policy Association on the critical need to repair the badly damaged transatlantic relationship. Drawing on his experience as a global communications consultant and international affairs observer, Kashmeri argues that the U.S. must cease viewing an increasingly influential Europe through "Anglo-tinted" lenses, while Europeans should make greater good-faith efforts to restore the historic partnership between the two powers.
